Every venture underwater is a new and exciting opportunity for exploration and discovery. The world underwater is full of beauty, wonder and excitement and every dive gives us a glimpse of a unique and fascinating world which is very different from our own. Scuba diving can be lots of fun, relaxing and a great opportunity to make new friends. Learning to scuba dive can become the beginning of a lifelong adventure. It will literally change your life!

Discover Scuba Diving is diving without the formalities of a certified course and you have your own personal highly qualified PADI instructor to introduce you to this amazing experience. You also get to choose when you would like to dive as I am totally flexible to fit in with your schedule.

You have a range of options to choose from which include:

  • Diving in your own pool
  • Diving in my pool or a public pool
  • Diving on the Great Barrier Reef
  • Or a combination of diving in a pool and then the Great Barrier Reef
      YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
    • Your Own Personal PADI Instructor to guide you every step of the way. On reef days, you will also gain the benefit of 15 years of local experience as you receive detailed reef ecology information so you can thoroughly appreciate the amazing world you are about to enter.
    • A Detailed Dive Briefing to teach you all the basics you need to know about diving and some important safety aspects. This is at your pace for your understanding and you are not part of a large group, like other dive operations.
    • Quality Dive Equipment for your exclusive use throughout the experience.
    • Skills Practice to ensure your safety and to make sure you are comfortable. We take our time as I demonstrate some important skills and you practice them.
    • The Confined Water Pool Dive provides a relaxed stress free environment for your first underwater experience. Relax - this is at your own pace and there is no waiting in a production line of students. Once again, these sessions are totally flexible and can be completed in your pool, my pool or a public pool at any time you prefer. The choice is yours.
THE GREAT BARRIER REEF OPTION INCLUDES ALSO
    • A Full Day Trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef with all day personal service, not just the time we're in the water. Your Instructor is there for you only and is not required to cater for everyone else on the boat.
    • Reef Ecology Presentation to enhance your understanding of fish and coral identification and add to your enjoyment. An experience you won't find at other dive stores.
    • Two Open Water Ocean Dives on the amazing outer Great Barrier Reef. There's plenty of time for exploring and looking around as we are not crowded by a big group absorbing all your time.
    • Unlimited Snorkelling between dives to take full advantage of our time on the reef.
    • Tropical Buffet Lunch
    • Diving some of the best sites in the world
    • No hidden costs
Don't miss this opportunity for the experience of a lifetime. You'll join a select group of people who have opened the door to an amazing journey into the fascinating underwater world.

    Your Requirements:
    A sense of adventure
Good health - you should be able to complete a medical questionnaire (See Sample Medical Declaration below)

Although individual personal instruction is normally provided, couples may choose to dive together or, alternatively, a group of friends may join together. The concept is more in tune with chartering an instructor rather than filling places on a production line type course, although group pricing to a maximum of four people is available on request.

Diving the reef is a personal experience - why do it with a crowd?
